Hi everyone,
We'll pick up with Psalm 61 --
which is another Psalm of
David. It's in this psalm we
have that very familiar prayer
--"lead me to a rock that
is high above me."
It's really interesting in
studying these Psalms
that so many of our hymns
of the past have come out
of these Psalms. For example,
here's the one that comes
from Psalm 61:
O safe to the Rock that is
higher than I, My soul in its
conflicts and sorrows
would fly;
So sinful, so weary,
Thine, Thine, would I be;
Thou blest “Rock of Ages,”
I’m hiding in Thee.
