We'll be concluding Job
this evening! One
of the significant things
that hit me over the
weekend as I was reading
through Job's words in
chapter 30 is that more
than any other purely
human biblical personality,
Job illustrates what
Jesus suffered when
He gave His life for
sinful humanity.
Note his words particularly
in verses 9-11, 20-21,
and verses 25-26.
In fact, compare these
words with what we read
in Isaiah 53. I believe
there's a significant
principle that emerges
from these verses,
comparing Job's undeserved
pain with what Jesus
Christ experienced when
He died for the sins of
the world and was at
that moment forsaken
by God the Father.
